1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and ("we", "us"), who run SelectPulse. They apply when you use the SelectPulse app or website. You accept them when you create an account. If you only read SelectPulse, they apply to that reading too. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
2. Who can use SelectPulse
- Anyone can read SelectPulse.
- To create an account you must be at least 13 and live in Australia, India or the United States. In India you must be at least 18 for now.
- If you're under 18, please read these terms and the Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian.
- The age and country you give us must be true.
3. Your account
- We sign you in with one-time codes sent to your email, so keep your email account secure.
- One account per person, please.
- You can delete your account at any time on the Account page or in the app.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
4. Using SelectPulse fairly
Please don't:
- use bots, scripts or extra accounts to vote, or otherwise try to skew poll results;
- copy SelectPulse's content in bulk, or scrape or crawl the app or website by automated means;
- try to get around our security, reach other people's information, or disrupt the service;
- use SelectPulse for anything unlawful.
5. Our content, and posts on X
We write SelectPulse's headlines, summaries, polls and quizzes, and we own them and the design of SelectPulse. You're welcome to read them, share links to them, and quote short extracts with credit to SelectPulse. Please don't republish them in bulk or use them commercially without our permission.
Posts on X belong to the people who wrote them and are covered by X's own terms. We link to them; we don't copy them. SelectPulse is independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by X Corp.
6. Accuracy, and no advice
We work hard to be accurate, but our stories summarise fast-moving events and can be incomplete or overtaken by new facts. Nothing on SelectPulse, including stories about money, markets or health, is financial, legal, medical or other professional advice. Check the original source before relying on anything, and email us if you spot a mistake.
7. Polls and quizzes
Poll results show how SelectPulse readers with accounts voted. They aren't scientific surveys. Polls and quizzes are for interest and fun.
8. Changes to SelectPulse and to these terms
SelectPulse is free, and we may change, pause or stop parts of it. If we change these terms, we'll update the version and date above. For important changes, we'll tell you in the app, on the website or by email, and ask you to accept the new version before you keep using your account. If you don't accept, you can delete your account.
9. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can't be excluded, including the guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those laws, SelectPulse is provided free of charge and as it is, and we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it. Where our liability can be limited, it's limited to resupplying the service.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of , Australia. This doesn't take away any protection you have under the laws of the country where you live.
